I can't see what advantage one of these "music servers" might potentially offer over a small portable computer sitting on the hifi rack next to a couple large external hard drives and a good outboard DAC.
As for quality of sound : Such a laptop-dr...

I don't have a problem with what Lamm has done in offering the ML3 (ignoring the price)... If I have a problem it is more related to how the product is being represented. Representations aside, depending on how it sounds, the ML3 could well be a prod...

Nice post Romy, and super illustration (you're getting really good with that mouse!).
To further strengthen your argument, it bears mentioning that you are illustrating the condition at its worst point; that is to say, at the centerline when viewe...

I don't see why you wouldn't just buy as many external firewire drives as you need, and simply daisy chain them together.
I have done this using the above-mentioned LaCie 1/2 TB drives, via FW800 (they will accept USB 2.0, and SATA as well)... Be...

Hello Collin,
Others may disagree, but my first reaction would be to give up the closet space and hang your clothes or store your items on open racks, covering the racks with a thick velour curtain; together this will make a nice diffuser/absorber...

Hello Malinowski,
Sounds like you may already have the necessary experience in working with plaster, but in case you're not used to making anything this large:
For the final horns, especially if they are large, use hard modeling plaster. My up...
